Professional Photographer – “Pro Performance – The Astron Orbiculight System” article written by Peter Kotsinadelis

PIE – PHOTO IMAGING ENTREPRENEUR – “Lighting the path to efficiency” article written by Howard Scott.

“Product photography is the bread-and-butter of Art Kotoulas’ studio, but it entails a lot of tedious set-up for each shot.  Then he invested in a new system (the Orbiculight) that allows him to produce more shots in less time, and with less effort, too…He estimates that he saves half the time he used to spend per shot.  Whereas before he was able to produce 40 shots per week, now he can do 50-60 shots per week, in less time.  According to Kotoulas’ estimates, his revenue should increase because of this purchase, and produce enough cash flow to pay for the unit in 12 months…’The profit I make per catalog job has really increased with the Orbiculight.  On top of that, it is an easier workday.  That’s worth money.’…Another significant advantage: Kotoulas is using his Orbiculight to attract new business...”

Professional Photographer “Recognizes The Best New Products of the Year – HOT Award 1999 – Lighting Equipment” – “Tabletop Lighting - Astron Orbiculight”

Yorba Linda, CA, September 12, 1999Astron Systems, Inc. announced today a major enhancement of the company’s Orbiculight integrated lighting system... the Orbiculight Roam Dome option.

The new enhancement,  greatly expands the original system’s interior space by allowing the dome portion of the system to be easily raised much higher (up to 7 ft.).  It can also be moved as much as 15 or more feet away from the tabletop bed

The new Orbiculight Roam Dome option has been designed so the curved overhead dome section of the Orbiculight is supported by a rigid, wheeled frame that at the touch of a button electrically raises and lowers the dome smoothly. The height range goes from 3 ft to 7 ft. as measured from the apex of the dome. The Orbiculight Roam Dome pivots up to 120 degrees and can be securely held in a wide variety of positions – including vertically – as necessary.
